Undercarriage

A complete range of undercarriage designed for the most severe environments, and for all types of applications.

THE CAT UNDERCARRIAGE RANGE

Undercarriage repair and replacements account for approx. 50% of your equipment total maintenance costs. When it comes to undercarriage maintenance, decisions you take may have a strong impact on your profitability.

These parts are designed to resist ground abrasion and impact, but also moisture and packing. They work as a complete system to:

  • avoid damaging machine’s critical components
  • optimize lift (bearing capacity) and mobility (maneuverability of the equipment)
  • reduce machine downtime

Our undercarriage components and complete track groups, 100% manufactured by Caterpillar, are built to last, increase your productivity and minimize your maintenance costs.  Through constant innovations (pins and bushing turn, auto-lubricated links, rebuild options, wear management…), we are able to optimize your cost per hour ratio.

OUR OFFERING

Certain ranges are not available on all equipment: please contact us to assess together your needs.

Heavy Duty (HD)

The safest bet on the market for moderate to high impact and abrasion environments.

  • components with heat treatment and extra wear material
  • pins & bushing turn option (when 75% wear is reached)
  • PPR (« Positive pin retention ») system: link mechanically attached to the pin for increased retention, lubricant leaks prevention and maximum resistance to wear.

Heavy Duty Extended Life (HDXL)

Range designed to provide extended wear life in the most severe environments, with high impact and high abrasion conditions.

  • hardened steel components
  • DuraLink™ system : crowned links, larger roller and sprocket segments
  • 20 to 40% extra wear life vs the Heavy Duty range (HD)
  • pins & bushing turn option (when 75% wear is reached)
  • PPR (« Positive pin retention ») system: link mechanically attached to the pin for increased retention, lubricant leaks prevention and maximum resistance to wear.

Abrasion (RBT)

Rotating bushing system track (RBT) for heavy equipment, specifically designed to resist on highly abrasive footsoil conditions.

  • rotating bushing system : maximum durability, eliminate bushing turns
  • 50% extra wear life the Heavy Duty range (HD)
  • packing resistant (accumulation of material on the link assembly).

 SystemOne (S1)

Rotating bushing system track (RBT) for light and medium equipment.

  • rotating bushing system : maximum durability, eliminate bushing turns
  • enhanced sealing, up to 6000 h
  • relieved tread idlers for extended undercarriage life
  • noise reduction

General Duty (GD)

Designed for low abrasion and low impact environments.

  • excellent value for money
  • no pins and bushing turns required, tracks are led to destruction
  • lower steel grade and heat treatment vs the Heavy Duty range (HD)
  • but components and shoes are identical to the Heavy Duty range (HD)

OUR ADDITIONAL SERVICES: CTS PRO

Our teams are trained to measure wear on undercarriage. They offer to conduct free measurements on your fleet upon request, thanks to the CTS pro software.

You will then receive a detailed report showing the wear index of your components, as well as support and advices (link assembly tensioning, need for a carrier roller, inspection of the frame and guides…).

You will then have all the data to take the best decision at the best moment, before making expensive repairs (catastrophic failure, unplanned downtime…).

Contact your usual PSSR today to plan an intervention on site.
