Filters

Filters are vital for routine serviceability of machines
CATERPILLAR filters extend the life span of your engine

The secret of CATERPILLAR filters is inside:

The one-piece end cap moulding preventing leaks
Acrylic rods preventing crushing of folds
Spiral ribbon ensuring good fold resistance
Non-metallic central tubular core protecting the engine

A Radial seal design
No tool is required, shorter intervention time and routine maintenance costs reduced to minimum
B Steel fastening ring
Most new CATERPILLAR machines
leave the factory with radial seal filters. That type of fastening ring brings the oldest machines up to date. It is simply screwed down onto its support and your machine can then be fitted with the new type of filter.

C Urethane end caps moulded as one piece. They form a safe and solid link with the filtering paper and resist corrosion (Up to 30% of additional surface contact for better impermeability compared with conventional filters).

D Filter paper with very tight folds

E Integrated support and excellent maintenance of fold spacing

F Extremely robust inside and outside metallic envelopes

G Outside enamelled sieve resistant to corrosion
