Agent for industrial goods and equipment (CATERPILLAR machines, HYSTER fork lift trucks, ATLAS COPCO compressors etc.) in 12 West African countries
JOB DESCRIPTION
The vacant post is based in Bordeaux with frequent trips to West Africa.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Replacing technicians, technical Coordinators or Supervisors when they are absent, in mining sites, public works sites and with our representatives in Africa
- Carrying out running repairs on the equipment for which we are the representatives
- Providing technical support for CAT products and services and other manufacturers' products
- Providing technical training for Clients or staff
CANDIDATE PROFILE
BTS (advanced technician's certificate) in mechanics / maintenance + minimum 2 to 3 years experience in machine maintenance
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge of CAT equipment (Public Works or Mining) – Diesel engines - Hydraulic Transmission – Equipment – Electricity – embedded computer technology and electronics
- Good level of English
- Good knowledge of computers
- Knowledge of Africa or emerging countries preferred
