Agent for industrial goods and equipment (CATERPILLAR machines, O&K Hydraulic shovels, ATLAS COPCO Drills, forklift trucks etc.) in 12 West African countries
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Attached to the JA DELMAS EXPORT department of Mines, with 7 staff, the main responsibilities are:
- Canvassing the mining market, looking for new markets and monitoring competitors
- Regular contacts with clients and prospective clients
- Responding to calls for tender (in collaboration with the commercial Assistants and the manufacturers)
- Negotiating conditions of sale and the relevant service contracts (MARC contract)
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
Baccalaureate (school-leaving diploma) + 5 years study e.g. mechanics / public works Engineering School, Mining School
Experience: minimum 8 years in the mining sector or with a dealer
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:
- Technical and commercial knowledge of mining equipment
- English: must be bilingual
- Familiar with sales methods in an international context
- Experience in dealing with customers and major accounts
- Technical expertise with an excellent sales drive
- Highly developed sense of service and good interpersonal relations with international clients
